For this project I aimed to convey a sense of progress and innovation while also acknowledging technology. The rocket soaring across the horizon symbolizes New Mexico's distinctive space tourism sector. Its vapor trail intersects with the letter "N," completing the "X" and leaving behind a trail of state colors, symbolizing advancement and achievement.
I was tasked with creating a logo for The New Mexico News Podcast, a weekly podcast hosted by Gabrielle Burkhart and Chris McKee of KRQE News. The design drew inspiration from the retro microphone commonly associated with early radio broadcasts. The microphone flag prominently displays the station call letters, while subtle horizontal lines within the microphone pay homage to the state of New Mexico.
For this project, I was tasked with creating a branded mask for NMCW. I developed a New Mexico-themed character named Smiley, inspired by the branding tagline "Funny You Should Watch."
These series of advertisements were featured in the Albuquerque Journal to raise awareness for our mask donation initiative.
The Books for Kids, Food for Kids, and Shoes for Kids initiatives fall under the KRQE Cares umbrella, aimed at enhancing the well-being of students in Title 1 schools. I was tasked with crafting a branding concept to represent each of these programs. Incorporating the eyes and smile of the KRQE Cares sun into the children's designs effectively linked them to the sponsoring organization.
The KRQE Weather Academy was established to educate children about the intricacies of weather science, encouraging them to engage in critical thinking, observation, and analysis of weather patterns in their community. Each week, a meteorologist visits a school to impart knowledge about weather phenomena. I was tasked with conceptualizing and designing a logo, activity page, certificate, and a branded barometer for this initiative.
For this project, I was assigned the responsibility of branding a canopy to promote our stations at various local events and initiatives.
Full-page advertisement design for promotion at the National Fiery Foods Show.
This design was created for a banner featured at a charity golf event supported by KRQE.
The Sports Department at KRQE hosts a statewide high school football show known as "Friday Night Football." I was tasked with revitalizing and redesigning its visual identity, which encompassed creating a new logo, refreshing the show open, producing sponsored mini-opens, designing fullscreen graphics, and developing lower thirds.
I was assigned the project of revitalizing the branding for Legendary New Mexico, a program delving into the rich history of New Mexico and hosted by David Romero. In addition to updating the logo, I was entrusted with enhancing the show's opening sequence to better reflect the captivating narrative it presents.
